City Bird Necklace
And now, here is possibly my most favorite necklace - The City Bird. I couldn't prevent myself from trying it on, and my assistant insisted I take it off and put it in the display case.
City bird is based on a classic swallow tattoo design. The body is made up from a curve in the road street sign. The back wing is cut from a license plate and the outer wing is sterling silver that has been oxidized. The eye is layered from copper and license plate then riveted with sterling silver. The entire bird is created with cold connections. Bird measures about 2.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches from tip of wing to belly. The chain is 16 inches and comprised of some new but mostly vintage chain (may contain copper, brass and/or nickel). Clasp is handmade and mimics the birds eye.
